The Virtual Trade Zone for IT is one of the more interesting trade programs created by the Georgian government. It is really not a “free trade zone” so much as a broad tax exemption available to any Georgian company providing IT products or services outside the country.
Under this program a company that sells IT related goods or services is exempt from taxes and reporting of income generated from foreign sales. The company is formed like any other company, can be located anywhere in the country, and is in all other respects identical to any other Georgian company with the exception of the tax exempt status. The application is simple and straight forward, and approval is fast.
